Wellington X serial HE394 coded SE-V airborne from Burn at 23:19 on a mission to Mulheim. Their aircraft was shot down at 0200hrs in the vicinity of Munchengladbach killing the crew. The airmen were buried in Munchengladbach on June 26, 1943, after the war they were reverently re-interred at the Rheinberg War Cemetery
