Lancaster serial number ED807 crashed near Bursea, Holme on Spalding Moor. On the night of 13th / 14th April 1943 the crew of this aircraft were tasked with their first operational flight and the target was to have been to bomb Spezia but soon after taking off the aircraft suffered an engine failure. The crew aborted the operational flight and jettisoned the bomb load in the sea of Flamborough Head, on the approach to land at Holme on Spalding Moor airfield the aircraft stalled and crashed at 22:00. Sadly all seven airmen on board were killed. Died at Military Hospital York; Buried on April 19, 1943.

The aircraft had suffered a loss of power to the starboard engine and the pilot was attempting to make a forced landing at the time of the accident but struck a tree while coming for the landings. The aircraft is believed to have crashed and overturned and sadly both airmen in the aircraft were killed. Buried on February 10, 1943.

Whitley (Mk V) BD280 took off from its base at Stanton Harcourt, Oxfordshire, at 18:40hrs for a night cross country training flight. At approximately 23:20hrs the port engine failed and the pilot was obliged to attempt an emergency landing. In doing so, at 23:30hrs, the bomber stalled as the pilot tried to avoid a line of high tension cables. Out of control, it smashed into the ground at Vicarage Farm, a mile or so NNW from the village of Ivinghoe, six miles ENE of Aylesbury, Buckinghamshire. All members of the crew, with exception of rear gunner.

During the snow clearing operation put into force one member of this party walked into a rotating propeller of Wellington "J" of 405 Squadron and was seriously injured, he was taken to York Miltary Hospital at Fulford where he died of his injuries the following day. Died at Military Hospital York; Buried on February 17, 1942

Vickers Wellington Mk 1c DV422 of 21, Operational Training Unit took off from RAF Edgehill for general handling practice. While demonstrating stalling and recovery the aircraft went into a dive and at 14:20 crashed and burned near Wild Spring Farm, Little Tew, 5 miles east-north-east of Chipping Norton with he loss of 6 crew. On the night of 13th / 14th April 1943 the crew of this aircraft were tasked with their first operational flight and the target was to have been to bomb Spezia but soon after taking off the aircraft suffered an engine failure. The crew aborted the operational flight and jettisoned the bomb load in the sea of Flamborough Head, on the approach to land at Holme on Spalding Moor airfield the aircraft stalled and crashed at 22:00. Sadly all seven airmen on board were killed. Died at Military Hospital York; Buried on April 19, 1943.

At approximately 23:20hrs the port engine failed and the pilot was obliged to attempt an emergency landing. In doing so, at 23:30hrs, the bomber stalled as the pilot tried to avoid a line of high tension cables. Out of control, it smashed into the ground at Vicarage Farm, a mile or so NNW from the village of Ivinghoe, six miles ENE of Aylesbury, Buckinghamshire. All members of the crew, with exception of rear gunner.

During the snow clearing operation put into force one member of this party walked into a rotating propeller of Wellington "J" of 405 Squadron and was seriously injured, he was taken to York Miltary Hospital at Fulford where he died of his injuries the following day. Died at Military Hospital York; Buried on February 17, 1942

Two Liberator mk VI serial number EW225 and EW247 both of AFTU Amarda Road, were flying in formation and the pair entered cloud without any attempt to open out the distance between them. As they emerged from cloud, one aircraft pulled up in front of the other and they collided before crashing out of control to the ground. It is not clear as to which members of crew were in what aircraft, other than the pilots.
